Colorado Springs is served primarily by two airports. Denver International Airport (DEN) is a major hub about 90 minutes north of Colorado Springs. All large airlines fly into Denver and there are many daily flights to choose from. Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is a large regional airport with direct flights to most big US cities and world-wide connections through Denver. The Colorado Springs Airport is on the east side, about 15 minutes from the center of town. Be aware that the highway between Colorado Springs and Denver is undergoing a major expansion and allow for traffic slowdowns in your flight plans. If you choose to fly out from Denver on Thursday after breakfast, we suggest your flight be no sooner than 3 PM. Please note that Denver rental car returns are not at the terminal - allow about 20 minutes to drop your car and catch the shuttle bus to the terminal.
Colorado Springs is located on I-25 in south-central Colorado on the "Front Range" of the Rockies about an hour south of Denver. If you drive, you will see some absolutely beautiful mountain scenery, especially on I-70 west of Denver.
