How to Sign Up -
This is yet a reminder that you only have 30 days to enroll and get the current trip price. If you delay until after 1 Feb, the price increases and I can’t change that. Because there was confusion or misunderstanding, I will try to state this again clearly – YOU HAVE TO ENROLL YOURSELF AND YOUR SCOUTS. I CANNOT ENROLL YOU.
IThe Japan trip is open for enrollment and you only have between now and 1 Feb to lock in the current price. When you enroll, basic insurance plan is already included in the price of the trip, so be sure to OPT OUT of any additional insurance packages or it will increase your trip cost. You have to OPT OUT of the additional insurances – that is part of the registration/enrollment package. See below for enrollment information.
If you sign up for autopay, you receive an additional $50 discount and have a longer time to pay – up to 45 days prior to trip departure.
NAMES – be sure the names used during enrollment/registration are the EXACT SAME as what is printed on your passport. If you do not have a passport, ACIS advises use what is printed on your birth certificate.
HERE is the link where you can register online. My Group Leader ID # is 264591.
ONLINE:
1. Find Your Trip at: www.acis.com
2. Enter your Group Leader’s ID (264591) & Last Name under Find Your Trip at the bottom of the page.
3. Click Register Now on your Trip Site when you’re ready to sign up.
Please enroll as soon as possible. We need to hit that 30-person traveler # and I need help getting the word out to lots of groups to make up for the drop outs we have had since the travel meeting. John and I have worked really hard with trip presentations, two trip meetings, and putting together a trip that promises to be very, very memorable and exciting. I really don’t want to stress like the last two trips with traveler recruitment issues – so please help me out – enroll as soon as you can, and please see if you can find others to join. For every 5 travelers over the 30, you will get money back from ACIS.
May is another beautiful month in the city of Tokyo, Japan. The days are longer, with the sun rising about 4:30am and staying up until almost 7pm by May 31. You can expect temperatures during the day to be around 20 to 21°C, though it will be slightly rainier than April with 132mm falling over 16 days this month. Still, you will need those sunglasses as the sun is out more often than not. A light jacket or sweater for cooler mornings and evenings is all that is needed now. This month would be a great time to visit Yokohama, where temperatures are only one degree warmer, but a great place to visit outside of Tokyo if you're looking for a change of scenery.
Temperature
With the weather warming up, Tokyo will be noticeably busier, with the highs reaching 21°C, along with an average of 18°C across the whole of May. The lowest temperature usually stands around 14°C, this being very early in the morning.
Sunshine Hours
Increasing by one hour more than April, May will bring an average of 6 daily sunshine hours. The weather is warm, and the sun is mostly shining.
Rain
A rainy day over the course of May is gradually decreasing, starting the month at 35% and ending it at 38%.
Temperature
June ushers in the high heat and humidity, along with the rain. Across the month of June, the average temperature is 21°C, the lowest being 18°C and the highest reaching 24°C, similar to weather in Tenerife in June.
Sunshine Hours
Across the month, Tokyo, Japan, usually enjoys an average of six hours of daily sunshine, along with medium cloud coverage which fluctuates between 78% at the beginning of the month and 73% by the end. On average, the sky is mostly clear.
Rain
This is the start of Tokyo's six week rainy season with about 181mm of rain fall over 20 days - you will need a light rain jacket or poncho, and ideally, light water repellant or waterproof clothing. This decreases to 128mm in July.
Humidity
The humidity for June begins to increase, as the rainy season starts.
