Our Troop is "Scout-led" which means Scouts, not adults, make decisions, plan activities, and lead meetings, fostering leadership and character development. Adults act as mentors or coaches, supporting from the background and ensuring safety, rather than managing, while allowing for mistakes as part of the learning process. The Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) reports to the Scoutmaster, and the Scouts report to the SPL (Patrol Method). When a Scout asks an adult for help, adults should tell them to ask their SPL first.
The Committee usually has a business meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:00. Parents, leaders, and the SPL are invited to attend. Committee Meeting Minutes
Supportive adults can be the point of contact for any activity they are interested in. Every involved adult needs to complete Safeguarding Youth Training.
