The Troop plans to camp monthly from October through May. We will travel out of state for a week of Summer Camp in June. Parents are always invited if they are interested.
At a minimum every Scout always needs close toed shoes and a day pack with water bottle, sun protection, snacks, flashlight, whistle, and personal first aid kit.
The Troop will usually meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday at Eastminster. Then around 4:30 p.m drive to the campout together. If you are not camping, you drop your Scout in the parking lot with their equipment, then pick up at the end of the weekend.
BSA tenting rules require that youth and adults tent separately, with youth sharing tents only with others of the same gender and within two years of age.
Leaders will send an update near the end of the outing with their ETA for pick up time at Eastminster.

Enjoy the Premier Scouting Experience at Woodruff Scout Camp
From blasting through white water to the ability to earn your choice of over 70 different Merit Badges, it’s easy to see why Woodruff has become the premier camp for Scouts BSA across the nation.
Morning at Woodruff is spent knocking out Merit Badge requirements at our class-leading waterfront, nature center, STEM center, Outdoor & Life Skills, Mack Mountain Studios, or shooting sports ranges. In the afternoon, Scouts BSA and their Troops have the opportunity to take on adventure challenges like climbing & rappelling, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, Ga-Ga ball, Kendell Crossing (interpretive programs), and a variety of aquatic activities including BeaverShark Park. Campfires, movie nights, Vespers, Spoof Badge, and new this year - STEM After Dark fill the twilight hours before taps closes out another great day of camp
Located in the north Georgia Mountains, Woodruff ’s natural environment gives you unlimited opportunities for adventure. And our renowned first-year-camper program means that every Scouts BSA will have the time of their life no matter their experience level.
4/20 At the weekly meeting Jeanne will take Scout's first choice of the Merit Badge Classes that they wish to take. If you miss this date, you will still be able to sign up any time before camp. Use the Merit badge Schedule to choose classes during different time slots.
