From blasting through white water to the ability to earn your choice of over 70 different Merit Badges, it’s easy to see why Woodruff has become the premier camp for Scouts BSA across the nation.
Morning at Woodruff is spent knocking out Merit Badge requirements at our class-leading waterfront, nature center, STEM center, Outdoor & Life Skills, Mack Mountain Studios, or shooting sports ranges. In the afternoon, Scouts BSA and their Troops have the opportunity to take on adventure challenges like climbing & rappelling, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, Ga-Ga ball, Kendell Crossing (interpretive programs), and a variety of aquatic activities including BeaverShark Park. Campfires, movie nights, Vespers, Spoof Badge, and new this year - STEM After Dark fill the twilight hours before taps closes out another great day of camp

4/20 At the weekly meeting Jeanne took Scouts' first choice of the Merit Badge Classes. Sign up any time before camp through Jeanne at 7274538063. Use the Merit badge Schedule to choose classes during different time slots. Younger Scouts are signing up for Nantahala Whitewater Rafting on Wednesday afternoon and older Scouts are signing up for Ocoee Rafting on Friday (included in cost of camp for youth - adults may register for an additional $55)
5/30 Fill this liability form out and bring it to the next meeting. Bring a copy of Health Care forms AB &C to the meetings or forward to Wendy Demko. She is compiling and sorting these for our Troop.
6/18 7:00 p.m. Bring your gear for summer camp and check in so we can make sure everyone is ready and organized. This will be at our usual meeting location. Scouts should pack stuff in their tote/footlocker that they do not need until camp. Bring a smaller overnight bag with sleeping bag/pad to carry on the van. Scouts should pack cash for meals on the road and for roadside attractions. The camp also suggests $100 for spending money at their camp store. Please let a leader know if you require any financial assistance.
6/19 We pick up two 15 person vans in Vero Beach on Friday morning. We should be able to spend most of Friday loading gear. To add drivers, we need to meet in person with Ormond at the Enterprise office in Melbourne on US 1 around noon with a driver's license. Drivers: Ormond Doty, Jim Cusic, Dan DeGuzman, Jeanne Townsend, and Gary Neal. We can start packing the vans on Friday.
6/20 Saturday Meet at Eastminster at 8:30 a.m. We will drive vans to to Georgia and stay the night at Heritage Presbyterian Church in Acworth, Ga.
6/21 Sunday Morning we will have time to visit Bigfoot "Museum" $9 and apple orchard tour with country store. Troops start arriving at Woodruff at 12:45 p.m. We are in campsite 1.

6/27 Saturday Check out of Camp Woodruff by 9:00 am and drive all the way to Eastminster. Backup plan is to stay the night at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Valdosta, GA.
6/28 We can return the vans to Vero Beach on Sunday afternoon or on Monday morning.
