Troop meetings are held every week of the year. We meet from 7:00-8:30 on Tuesday nights. These meetings are usually in the basement of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect although sometimes we work on scout skills outdoors, take trips to Moraine State Park, or host a fun night at a local venue.
Troop 33 schedules camping every month of the year. The scouts like a variety of experiences, from car camping to backpacking and canoeing, our troop does it all! We are fortunate to have many state parks and the Allegheny National Forest within our reach.
Each summer, troop 33 attends a week-long Scouts BSA resident camp within a few hours drive of home. This year we will be going to Heritage Reservation.
Scouting entails a variety of experiences. Camping is the most well known activity for scouts, but we also work on many service projects throughout the year and host special awards ceremonies known as Courts of Honor.
