MOVING TO GRADE 9 - HIGH SCHOOL CHOICES 2025
At Trivandrum International School, students moving from Grade 8 to Grade 9 choose to follow either the ICSE or the Cambridge IGCSE path. Both are two-year courses and both are delivered within a broader education framework which includes the variety of activities that students at TRINS are used to.
The ICSE Option
The ICSE course is a broad range of core subjects. Choices are required for Second Language (it is assumed that the student will continue with the language learnt in Grade 8) and whether to study Computer Applications or Economic Applications. There are distinct Grade 9 portions which will assessed at the end of Grade 9 (2025) and then the Grade 10 portions which will be examined in February 2026. There are also Internal Assessments in each subject to be completed.
