We're at the end of the conceptual phase, where we have gained an understanding of a trinket and its qualities, our trinket and how to translate our trinket's unique physical characteristics. After this step we'll go over into the execution; to create the visual work that will depict the trinket's other attributes (primarily its whimsicality, emotional/sentimental worth and the narrative attached).
It's important to summarise and lay the ground work for our execution phase. This documentation will serve as a reference or save point, in case we get lost/overwhelmed during the execution or want to take a break and return another day. It might not be the most exciting step, but you will thank yourself later (however, remember that none of this is homework and thus you can adapt everything for your own benefit).
The instructions down below can be followed along with this template I created.
Choose your medium (google doc or text editor/notes application, miro board, piece of paper, a blog, photoshop layer, whatever works for you).
Write down the title and a one sentence synopsis of your trinket.
If you've written a description in the previous step, add that instead of the synopsis.
Take and add a photograph, from a perspective that highlights the physical traits.
Add the visual analysis (list of unique physical characteristics and how you would visually translate them) together with the reference board (image or link).
Insert your concept art if applicable, and leave room for the execution steps (inspectable, visual narrative, result).
Additionally, you can write down any ideas you might have for those steps or for interaction with your trinket.
