Our school meals are provided by Caerphilly County Borough Council's Catering Service.
We are able to provide all pupils with healthy, nutritious meals prepared freshly each day on site, should they require one. All of our school meals meet the Welsh Healthy Food in Schools regulation. Our school dinners provide pupils with a range of choices and options each day. A full menu is available following the links.
We also have menus for a range of medical diets and you can download these from the My School Lunch website and print them out at home. This includes egg-free, gluten-free, milk-free, and nut-free.
School meals are free for all pupils.
Caerphilly Catering Services are running a new menu. Please see the links below for the menus:
Breakfast Club is open from 8:15 am to 8:40 am for registered pupils.
Pupils should be brought to the main school reception for the Breakfast Club where they will be met by a member of the Breakfast Club.
Pupils who arrive after 8:40 am will not be able to come into the Breakfast club.
If you would like your child to be enrolled in Breakfast Club, please collect a form from the main school reception, and we will notify you once they have been accepted.
We promote healthy eating at Trinant Primary School and strongly encourage the eating of fruit as a playtime snack.
Thanks to generous funding from Tesco, we are delighted to provide free fruit to all children in the school, ensuring they have access to nutritious snacks every day.
We offer a diverse selection of fresh fruit, which is updated weekly to introduce children to new and exciting flavours.
With the support from Tesco, we have introduced Fruity Friday this year! Each week, a new fruit or vegetable will be available for all children to try, encouraging healthy eating habits and inspiring them to explore new flavours. As part of pupil voice, children have shared their requests for new fruits and vegetables they would like to try throughout the year, ensuring they have a say in exploring healthy and exciting food options.
We understand the importance of staying hydrated for health and well-being. Children are encouraged to bring water bottles, which they can refill throughout the day. Please ensure that only water is sent in their bottles. Trinant Primary School water bottles are available for purchase at reception for £1.
