We invite our members to Tri-County GATE Council’s annual GATEway to Leadership event each year. This year's event will be held at Medea Creek Middle School on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
GATEway to Leadership helps to develop 7th-grade gifted student-leaders in a one-day conference led by our TCGC executive board and an amazing group of edcuator volunteers. This conference provides opportunities for gifted students to develop independence and leadership skills. This event also helps students learn and practice assertiveness skills that are important in our communities and society.
Tri-County GATE Council organizes the event and assures that students are well-supervised and positively engaged. Volunteers from the Tri-County GATE Council and staff members of participating school districts, and trained at a ratio of 1:10. Volunteers facilitate a variety of small and large group leadership-focused activities for student participants.
