Bedrock

Bedrock owns over 100 buildings in downtown Detroit and has remodeled and restored many of them over the past decade. To support these projects, construction and scaffolding banners were installed around building perimeters to protect pedestrians and provide clear wayfinding.

I designed large-scale banners—some exceeding 200 feet—that needed to be visible to both pedestrians and drivers from a distance. The challenge was to communicate that the building was under construction while still creating an inviting experience that encouraged people to enter and continue visiting the lobby shops. Getting the text and signage scaled appropriately required multiple iterations, but through close collaboration with our project management team and onsite crew, we achieved a successful solution. The final banners provided natural light within the scaffolding, maintained safe pedestrian access, and ensured shop traffic remained steady throughout the construction process.
