BACKHAUL CHECK (BHC)

• A fare from the origin to an intermediate stopover point is higher than the fare from the origin to the destination, which would require the use of the backhaul formula.

APPLICABLE

• Applicable to only one – way journey

BACKHAUL APPLICATION

• Compare the OWM NUC to the AF NUC

• If OWM > AF: deduct the AF from the OWM to obtain the Backhaul Plus (P)

• Add this Plus (P) to the AF NUC to increase the constructed fare to the same amount as the one way minimum

• IF AF > OWM: ignore the OWM and carry on with the AF NUC

• For journeys wholly between Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and TC2
