Fall foliage in the Eastern Sierra usually peaks late September through October, depending on the year and depending on the elevation. The higher elevations have peak fall colors earlier and lower elevations have peak fall colors later. The above video has shots taken between September 30 - October 8 in 2024 and between October 16 and October 25 in 2023. The higher elevations were better in 2024 and the lower elevations were better in 2023 - You could stay for a month and see both the high and low elevation foliage or go at different times in different years.
