MADISON SQUARE GARDENS BOWL

The facility opened in 1932 as a multi purpose stadium that could hold up to 75,000 people. It was designed to hold big ticket events.

It was decided that they would holding midget racing in 1936. It drew decent size crowds of around 15,000 fans.

Racing only lasted the one year as the fumes would spread in the air. People living nearby said the smell would fill their homes.

The facility was demolished in 1942 to become a mail depot for the war. The facility was used for the facility and some was melted down to make bullets.
