1. Launch a DS-160 application: https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/Default.aspx

A) Use only Internet Explorer 11 or later, Firefox or Google Chrome 58. Safari and Microsoft Edge are not supported.

B) Bring the required documents with you:

- Passport valid / in progress: must be valid until 1/1/25, must have 2 facing pages available for the new visa, must have the previous US visa (or will need both the new and the old visa)

- Dates of the last five trips to the United States (international travel history of the last five years may be required)

- Curriculum vitae or CV: You may be asked to provide information on current and previous training and work history.

C) Upload / retrieve a previous question: to facilitate completion, if you have saved a previous question on your computer, you can upload it; or if you have a previous application ID number, you can enter it in the "recover" section.

D) Type / save this question ID and create a security question to access this form later.

E) Personal data: answer all the questions or check if they are still correct if you took them from a previous question
