During the Winter 2023 semester, I established a variety of individual lessons on haiku poetry, identity, and even impromptu lessons created under special circumstances.
This worksheet was created for students to obtain a better understanding of the contents of their identity. In the upper half of the iceberg, students were asked to share physical traits. This consisted of information that is visible such as:
Hair Color
General Height (tall, short)
Eye Color
In the lower half, students were then asked to share information that makes them who they are that cannot be seen. This included things such as:
Hobbies
Personal Interests
Roles (student, daughter/son)
This worksheet was created as an additional resource for a lesson established on Haiku Poetry. The objective of this worksheet was to ensure that students had grasped the concept but also so they could experience creative freedom and create their own version of a haiku poem.
The worksheet contains:
Questions on the general rules of haiku.
A section where students must identify syllables (as this is an essential part of writing haiku poems
An area where students can write their own haiku poem.
This bouquet was created following an unexpected personal event. I had cut out the flowers for students and they were expected to use adjectives that they had learned in a previous lesson to describe their teacher.
During this lesson students had the opportunity to:
Learn about the importance of Positive Language
Learn new methods of doing good deeds
Have a higher level of emotional awareness
