Seahawks Shadow Interest Form
Welcome to Hampton Roads' newest unit,
Seahawks Squadron.
This unit will move to Virginia Beach in the upcoming months once a permanent home is established. Seahawks Squadron was developed as a result of the need for a new DAY-ONLY unit. This opportunity opens the doors for cadets and families to engage in various activities while being part of the Sea Cadets. We also recognize that many families are not ready to have cadets overnight away from home until they feel comfortable in their structured environment. Seahawks Squadron will develop cadets to be prepared for new adventures in a safe and organized unit.
Our sister unit, Top Hatters Squadron, has a long-standing tradition and history in Sea Cadet excellence and will continue to serve Naval Station Norfolk with overnight success. Seahawks Squadron and Top Hatters Squadron will attend mutual events such as parades, trainings, special events, and even drill together on occasion. Team development focuses on the mission of building leaders of character.
Parents wishing to join as volunteers will register after their child(ren) are enrolled. This allows continuity of connection within our database, known as Magellan. We are actively seeking adult leadership for this new unit; training is provided.
