AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

AUDITIONS (Friday Nov 14, 3-6pm) ALL students wishing to be a part of the production must audition. 

1) Read ALL the information regarding rehearsals and time commitment prior to auditions.

2)  Fill out the form. Sign it  and have your parents sign it prior to auditions.

3) SCENES - Look at "First Audition Scene". You will preform this scene with another auditioning students.

4) SONGS - Pick one of the songs (Sheet Music below)  to sing at the audition (it's best if you have it memorized)

CALLBACKS (Friday Nov 21, 3-6pm)

1) Everyone must attend the Callback Audition date.

2) Everyone will be taught a short dance combination (3-4pm). (Absolutely no Uggs, Crocs, High Heels, Dress Shoes, Flip-Flops, Sandals. ONLY Sneakers/Tennis Shoes or Dance Shoes)

3) After the Dance section we will dismiss some of you and some will stay for Callbacks.

4) If you are asked to attend the Callback from 4-6pm, familarize yourself with the additional scenes under "Callback Sides"

Final Casting will be posted during the Thanksgiving Break

LEGALLY BLONDE JR. CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

ELLE WOODS - She may appear like a typical bubbly, blonde California sorority girl, but don't count her out. She is hardworking, optimistic, and tenacious.

MARGOT, SERENA AND PILAR - Elle's trio of best friends and Delta Nu sisters who help her navigate the story by acting as a “Greek Chorus”. Serena is the energetic cheerleader, typically of Jewish heritage. Margot is the seemingly dim-witted, boy-crazy sorority sister. Pilar is the sassy and sensible one.

KATE is a featured Delta Nu sister - the academic of the bunch.

WARNER HUNTINGTON III - Good-looking and charming, yet shallow and self-absorbed. He is Elle's ex-boyfriend and caught between his former life with Elle and his newfound serious East Coast life with Vivienne.

WINTHROP, LOWELL AND PFORZHEIMER are three admissions officers of Harvard Law School who eventually admit Elle into the program after some critical evaluation.

EMMET FORREST A smart, sensitive, and sometimes sarcastic law student who mentors Elle. He is charming, a bit nerdy, lovable, and friendly. Emmet has had to work hard his entire life to get into Harvard Law School, and nothing is going to come between him and becoming a partner in Callahan's law firm, except maybe his surprising love for Elle.

AARON SCHULTZ, SUNDEEP AGRAWAL PADAMADAN and ENID HOOPES are featured law students with academic credits that would intimidate anyone. These are fun roles for actors who can really bring their unique selves to these parts.

VIVIENNE KENSINGTON is the very opposite of Elle, if judging only by demeanor. She comes from a very conservative East Coast background and is everything that Warner needs to make a serious move to become a lawyer.

WHITNEY is Vivienne's law school friend and partner in mischief when it comes to bringing down Elle.

PROFESSOR CALLAHAN A pompous, smooth, authoritative, and manipulative law professor and a little slimy. He has a reputation for being an extremely strict and tough professor and a highly successful lawyer. He will do anything to get what he wants, regardless of morality.

PAULETTE BUONAFONTE is the funny owner of Hair Affair, a local salon. She becomes friends with Elle and longs to marry a man from Ireland. She and Elle help each other achieve their dreams!

BROOKE WYNDHAM An exercise video tycoon who is an alum of Elle’s sorority. She is energetic and charismatic, yet currently on trial for her husband’s murder.

DEWEY - Paulette’s nasty, rude, dog-stealing trailer trash ex-boyfriend.

CHUTNEY WYNDHAM has a really bad perm and an even worse attitude. She is Brooke's unhappy stepdaughter who is actually guilty for killing her father

and framing Brooke.

KYLE is the UPS delivery man who Paulette has her eyes on each time his job brings him to the salon.

GRANDMASTER CHAD -This is a standout role from the other fraternity brothers and requires a lot of energy.
