本研究は、オンラインゲームが、言語学習、異文化コミュニケーション、持続可能な開発のための教育を効果的に促進するためにどのように利用できるかを学ぶことを目的としたパイロット研究です。具体的には、Nintendo Switchのゲーム「あつまれ：どうぶつの森」が、このような学習に有効なオンライン環境として機能するかどうかを調べます。パイロット研究として、私たちが行う作業は本質的に探索的なものです。いろいろなことを試してみて、何が効果的かを確認し、より大規模で包括的な研究を計画したいと考えています。
This is a pilot study in which we are seeking to learn about how online games can be used to effectively promote language learning, cross-cultural communication, and education for sustainable development. Specifically, we want to understand if the Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) might function as a useful online environment for such learning. As a pilot study, the work we will do is exploratory by nature. We want to try different things to see what works so we can design a larger, more comprehensive study.
