修復や補修、その前後に生じる差異といった副次的な形の作品化を発端として、既存の物や空間にアプローチするインスタレーションを行っています。工業製品・インフラ資材の属性や用途を切り離して展示会場に移設し、地面や起伏として見立てるなど、都市の現在とその起源を反映した修景(landscaping)を作品としています。
▶︎1977年生まれ。2003年武蔵野美術大学大学院修了。第2回資生堂Art egg賞。文化庁在外派遣研究員として渡英（2009−2011）。最近の発表に「それぞれの山水」（駒込倉庫/2020）、「犬死にか否か」（TALION GALLERY/2017）、個展「Nature Study」（gFAL/2016）等がある。
Having dealt with secondary forms that emerge both during and after actions, such as with repair and restoration, I work on installations that approach existing objects and sites. I deactivate the original uses or attributes of industrial products and materials of urban infrastructure and install the objects as the ground or the mounds of a specific place. I recompose scenery (landscaping) to reflect the present and the origin of the city.
▶Born in 1977. Completed M.A. in Fine Arts (Painting) at Musashino Art University in 2003. Awarded the 2nd shiseido art egg prize. Stayed and worked in London, England, under Overseas Study Programme for Artists by Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan, from 2009 to 2011. Recent exhibitions are “Individual Sansui” (Komagome SOKO, 2020), “To Die in Vain (or Not)” (TALION GALLERY, 2017), solo show “Nature Study” (gFAL, 2016), etc.
木や網、土などを使用し、環境の条件を変えることで場を変貌させるインスタレーション作品を制作。意識下で慣例化 された環境や、事物が存在する場としての環境に関心を持ち、その場所を捉え直すことでそこに存在する主体について思考します。それはその先の共同体を見つめることにつながると考えています。

With materials such as wood, mesh, and soil, I create installations that transform the place by changing the environmental conditions. My interest is in environments, which are consciously formed as a custom or where things exist as a place. I reacknowledge the place and think of the subject existing there. I also believe that it leads to a reaffirmation of the society.
