The ACC Faculty Handbook is a reference guide for all full-time and adjunct faculty that provides general information about College policies and procedures, services available for faculty, and faculty responsibilities.

Austin Community College opened its doors is September of 1973 to 1,726 students with the mission to provide access to an affordable, quality college education to anyone who seeks it. What began as an extraordinary vision among community leaders and education pioneers, is today the primary gateway to higher education and career training in Central Texas. ACC was first accredited in 1978 and currently holds accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. In Fall 2018, ACC began offering its first bachelor's degree.
ACC has over 5,000 employees working throughout its 11 campus district.
