Cobble Hill Park is a real park located in Brooklyn, New York. The entire area is called Cobble Hill which was coined in 1776 by soldiers during the Battle of Long Island while fighting the Revolutionary War. This is a RICH neighborhood, with apartments going for 1.7 million dollars and houses going for $6.3 million. This is a lovely little park that has picnic tables and a small playground for the local kiddos, along with some lovely shrubbery to brighten up the place.
Many parks around New York City and the surrounding suburbs had a lot of these little animal sculptures in parks. This little guy in Cobble Hill Park sparked some outrage in 2021 when the City started removing these staples in big city park culture.
This is another true-to-life park that is located in Brooklyn, New York. This park honors the poet Walt Whitman (1819-1892), who was very self-reliant and optimistic, which surpassed typical Victorian views. He inspired some great minds such as Oscar Wilde and Ralph Waldo Emerson. This park is located in the downtown area of Brooklyn which is highly populated. Next to the park are the Walt Whitman houses, which are huge apartment buildings that have been given a bad reputation due to redlining and the high density of people which is likely why Veronica and Michael have such a negative view of the area. This housing project was completed in 1944, building six, eleven-story apartments.
The park does have this cool fountain instead of a playground, and it seems like a lovely little park.
