This course was designed to examine how technology can facilitate instructional practices. We explored instructional software, online resources, and synchronous and asynchronous methods in technology mediation. We studied variables that affect adult learning, techniques for stimulating and sustaining motivation, and how to reinforce learning to a global audience.
Dr. Daniels made this course come alive. I continued applying the foundational work from IDT 5000 by creating an instructional plan based on a set of scenarios. However, I was required to start thinking like an instructional designer dealing with clients who may need to be more helpful. I needed to bridge gaps using creativity and experience thus far. I enjoyed learning how to use avatars and animation to convey information. I redesigned an assignment and used VYOND to make a training video about preparing for ID job interviews.

We were asked to create a scenario with a flow chart to describe an analysis plan. We also needed to use a given scenario to produce an instructional plan focusing on technology.
