To demonstrate content mastery, we completed a significant project adapted to the professional instructional design requirements. After a thorough feedback and revision process, we were required to present our final ePortfolios and build a course to showcase the work and demonstrate the achievement of program competencies.
Working with my subject matter expert, Julia Gregory, and the Education Committee for the Canine Freestyle Federation was the perfect experience for applying all of the skills and knowledge gained during this program. CFF wished to alter their beginner Musical DogWork course to a virtual setting. For my Capstone, I built a prototype of the first lesson in this course.
I faced realistic issues related to project management, creation of content and assets that forced me to consider many options and refer to past coursework to make the best plan for the current problems. The completed lesson was tested using learners from the targeted audience and it was well received. CFF wishes to continue this relationship, and I will assist them in completing their other five lessons in their beginner course.
