Backups

Don't forget to continually make backups of all of the changes you want to keep so you have a restore point in case you make a mistake editing.

For backups, long press an empty area of the first/main home screen or open the theme's system page and press the options button (may be named different per theme).

There will then be a popup preview screen. Tap the menu button in the bottom left.

There you should see the 'Backup center'. Then you'll be able to create backups and restore them if you ever want to revert.

• If you ever want to revert back to original, just open the theme from the icon in your app drawer. That will apply the theme fresh as it was on first use.

• To transfer your backup to another device, be sure to have Total Launcher and the main theme you made a backup of installed on your other device. Then, use your file explorer to navigate to the Total_Launcher_backups folder in your main memory. (*After the recent update to storage policy, it may be in "/Android/data/com.ss.launcher2/files/backups/" *you may need to do it on your PC with a USB connection and to see the files you'll first need to use the file explorer on the device set to show hidden files to rename the backup removing the period in front of the name so you'll be able to see it on your computer. Example: ".backup_01 -> backup_01) Take the backup you had created and transfer it to the same folder in your other device (if the folder doesn't exist, create it yourself). Open the Backup center on the other device and tap the backup you transferred to apply it.
