In accordance with THE COMPANIES ACT 2006, the Directors passed a SPECIAL RESOLUTION to alter the objects of the company.
To bring the proposed alteration of the objects of the company to the notice of persons affected by the company’s activities, they are detailed below:
The objects of the Company are to carry on activities which benefit the community and, in particular (without limitation) to:
Promote and advance public knowledge, understanding and appreciation of archaeology, heritage, and the historic environment through research, interpretation, community engagement and public dissemination.
Provide educational opportunities, training, workshops, courses, lectures and outreach programmes relating to archaeology, history, cultural heritage and associated disciplines for schools, colleges, community groups and the general public.
Undertake archaeological and heritage-related work, including (but not limited to) surveys, excavations, fieldwork, recording, documentation, conservation, analysis and interpretation of sites, structures, monuments, artefacts and landscapes.
Facilitate and support community participation in archaeology and heritage, including volunteer programmes, community digs, heritage projects, experimental archaeology and hands-on learning initiatives.
Conserve, preserve and promote the protection of archaeological sites, historic buildings, monuments and the wider historic environment, and raise public awareness of their significance and vulnerability.
Develop and maintain resources, equipment and facilities required to deliver archaeological and heritage activities, and reinvest all surplus income to expand and improve the company’s capacity for public and community benefit.
Collaborate with organisations, institutions, professionals and heritage bodies to support archaeological research, conservation, education, and responsible heritage management.
Publish, exhibit or otherwise disseminate information, research findings, educational materials and public engagement resources relating to archaeology and heritage.
Undertake any activities lawfully necessary, incidental or conducive to the furtherance of the above objects.
