Timescape Archaeology is a Community Interest Company (CIC) based at Timescape Rhayader, Rhayader's community museum, Mid Wales. We primarily work with local community groups and volunteers to investigate, record, and interpret their local archaeology, with a particular focus on the upland archaeology of mid-Wales.
The company is managed on a day-to-day basis by the 2 non-shareholding directors, and our host organisation, CARAD/Timescape Museum, holds a third post on our management board. Additional specialists, practitioners, demonstrators, and contractors are employed on a project basis.

As a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), we are a limited company and are specifically required by our Articles of Association to be ‘Not for Profit’. We reinvest in the company's equipment to enable more volunteers to be involved in order to increase our engagement with more people to learn about the past.
