Slow down. Step into the landscape. Help uncover a lost Welsh home.
Timescape Archaeology CIC invites you to take part in a bespoke archaeological experience set in the quiet beauty of the Powys countryside. This carefully curated excavation offers a rare opportunity to participate in professional archaeology as part of a small, well-supported group, combining discovery, learning, and time spent in an extraordinary historic landscape.
This is archaeology as a heritage holiday: intellectually stimulating, unhurried, and deeply rewarding.

One-to-one and small-group tuition in archaeological techniques
Insight into Welsh rural life, vernacular architecture, and landscape history with guided walks
Finds handling, interpretation, and behind-the-scenes explanation
Time to pause, observe, and reflect — no rushed schedules or large crowds
No previous experience is required. This excavation is designed to be accessible, thoughtful, and enjoyable, whether you are new to archaeology or returning to it.
