Graphite

My love of graphite dates back to my high school art classes. I have always loved the feel of graphite to paper. My process utilizes a variety of hardnesses by overlaying them throughout a piece. I aim to lose the pencil strokes so that my piece can replicate a black and white photograph. I turn to graphite to bring a sense of calm to my mind, especially after the intense mental demands of working with color pencils.
