Our Plan
The Superintendent's Advisory Committee is a diverse group that was tasked with reviewing the district's school facilities, and advising on a plan to address the district's facility challenges for the years ahead.
Having met throughout the spring and summer of 2023, this group of 80 community members, students, district staff, and business leaders examined the current state of district buildings, site arrangements, cost data, projected student enrollment, and building configurations to develop a facility solution for the school district.
The Superintendent's Advisory Committee Developed the Following Plan:
A new K-5 elementary school on the Tiffin Middle School site
A new 9-12 high school on the Tiffin High School site
Select renovations for the Tiffin Middle School to improve the longevity of that school
Abate and demolish the elementary schools and select portions of the high school
A New K-5 Elementary School
The new consolidated K-5 school would house all students from the elementary grades on the middle school site.
There is ample space for parking, site egress, and green space for students.
The site would receive minor work to ensure to build floodplain considerations for the new ES.
Traffic and lane improvements would be included to accommodate pick-up and drop-off times as per a conducted Traffic Study.
Additional space and design elements to support specialized learning in the new schools
A New 9-12 High School and Stadium Improvements
The new 9-12 high school would be constructed adjacent to the existing high school and include all new academic spaces and technology connections, with select demolition to the existing high school.

Athletic improvements to the stadium include a renovated home pressbox, home-side fieldhouse renovations, additional bleachers for home spectators and band, a new away team pressbox, and new restroom and concession stands for tennis and ballfields.
Select spaces at the high school would be maintained for ongoing school and community use, this includes:

Parking would be installed once abatement and demolition took place for the existing high school.

Lincoln would receive renovations to better accommodate pre-school students.
Abate and demolish the existing elementary schools.
These costs are based on cost sets provided by the State of Ohio, via the Ohio Facility Construction Commission. The Superintendent's Advisory Committee projected these costs for this anticipated plan. While these are early estimates and a variety of factors could adjust these, it provides a starting point to discuss the proposed plan and any potential segmentation or phasing that could occur.
By receiving input from a variety of perspectives, and examining cost and opportunities, the Superintendents Advisory Committee believes it has arrived at the optimal solution that will enable student success for the next 50 years. These improvements touch on all grades in the district, improving the learning environment for all students.
