Our vision: Inspire members to interact with and learn from one another, while building lifetime friendships and growing together.
The Thunderbird Youth Club (TYC) is a place where young people can meet with friends and initiate varied adventures. At times, it can be challenging for parents to motivate their kids and get them active, but TYC has been doing these since 2015. Taking place after school, TYC is designed to help kids keep learning, interacting, and growing. TYC offers a variety of programs, educational and recreational, for kids from elementary to high school. For our recreational programs, we have more than a dozen soccer and basketball teams. We believe sports are one of the best ways to interact and grow together. We also provide opportunities for kids to develop interests in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) such as robotic programming and fun math. Led by university professors and energized parents, TYC provides multiple coding and math classes during weekend. Students from TYC actively participate the First Lego League (FLL) robotics competition, while achieving excellence and innovation in both the Robot Game and Project.
Thanks to great efforts from the community and parents, TYC holds charity events and organizes activities such as hiking, rafting, camping, etc., all year round. These fun activities, games, themed nights and sports enable deeper engagement and friendship among kids and parents.
