Tutorials are structured guides designed to teach me how to perform a task, use a tool, understand a process, or develop a practical skill through sequential instruction and hands-on practice.
Essentially:
Objective → Explain → Demonstrate → Follow Along → Practise → Troubleshoot → Apply → Master
Breaking a complicated task into manageable stages.
Step 1 → Step 2 → Step 3 → Step 4
Understanding why something works before simply copying the steps.
Seeing an example of the process being performed.
Following the instructions while performing the task yourself.
Changing variables and testing what happens.
Identifying why something failed and learning how to fix it.
Repeating the process until it becomes familiar and eventually intuitive.
Taking what was learned and applying it to a new problem without the tutorial.

Teach / Document It
Learning how to use software, programming languages, platforms, or technical systems.
Coding • CAD • BIM • Software • App Development
Learning physical or hands-on procedures.
Machining • Equipment • Tools • Repairs • Assembly
Learning creative techniques.
Graphic Design • Video Editing • Photography • 3D Modelling
Learning workplace methodologies and processes.
Business Analysis • Finance • Project Management • Operations
Learning academic or theoretical concepts.
Mathematics • Science • Engineering • Philosophy
Learning by building something from beginning to end.
Idea → Build → Test → Fix → Finish
A tutorial shouldn't ultimately make me dependent on instructions.
The progression is:
Follow → Understand → Practise → Experiment → Adapt → Teach
The real objective is therefore not simply:
"I followed the tutorial."
It's:
"I understand what I did well enough to do it without the tutorial."
And eventually:
"I understand it well enough to create my own tutorial."
