Chapter 1 - On The Edge of the Green

The party collapses on the edge of the forest, exhausted from running. The last thing they remember is escaping an underground maze designed by Fey creatures. As they gather themselves they notice Kriv and Two-Edge are missing. Billiam, a tortle, is with the party and it seems he has always been there. The sky is shifting from blue to grey. The air smells different too. Something is off.
Luna, Callista, and Emrys find that the clay idols of their mounts work slightly differently. When cast, they are alive, needing water and food. Also, dismissing them causes the owner to feel physical pain. Bynx, T'Chell, and Billiam find they too have clay idols in their backpacks. Bynx has a Dire badger, T'Chell has a Dire Wolf, and Billiam has a Dire Boar. Quarth, the green dragonborn rescued from the Fey maze is no longer in the Bag of Holding.
Looking around, the party sees that they are at the edge of the Gulthmere Forest. A wide river cuts through the land with mountains in the distance on the other side. Countless winged creatures patrol in the distance. Bordering the river are markers etches with druidic ruins.
Luna approaches and reads the ruins. Speak friends and find help. Luna says that she is a friend that needs help and a druid appears in a swirl of wind. He tells her the date, which is 10 years since when they all thought it was. He explains that, "If you serve the green, stay in the green and that the Land of the Silver is on the other side of the river." He says that the party can follow the river to Cedarspoke, where Lord Greenblood rules. The druid is curt and short, eager to leave.
The party chooses to camp near the river and to cross the border into the land of the silver in the morning. T'Chell chooses to sleep further away from the river, having a fear of water. At camp, the party discusses the implications of returning to the world ten years into the future. Have all the dragon eye soul stones been discovered? Are lands divided up and ruled by those who control the different colored dragon eye soul stones?
Emrys takes the first watch mounted on her moose and about an hour into the evening, are confronted by a pack of lizardmen. They ask for the sign, showing off their green dragonscale necklaces. When Emrys fails to produce the sign, they swarm the sleeping adventurers and attack.
The battle ensues. Luna casts a powerful storm, shooting lightning bolts from the sky. T'Chell is hit in his sleep but returns the favor by smashing the lizardman in the face. Bynx uses hideous laughter, sleep, and magic missile to great effect. Callista snipes some lizardmen while Emrys and her mount fend off two attackers. Billiam hits with this great club and with eldritch blasts. During the course of the battle, Emrys and Bynx cross the border established by the markers.
The party prevails leaving one lizardman fleeing back into the forest with an arrow in his back and another surrounded and asleep. Just as the the party begins to come back together to regroup, a humanoid riding on the back of a giant eagle appears hovering over the river.
