Raven Thomas

Hi, I’m Raven Thomas — a holistic wellness practitioner, therapeutic bodyworker, and full-spectrum doula with nearly 20 years of experience supporting healing journeys. I was born and raised in San Diego, California, in a home where medicine, care, and compassion were always present, thanks to my parents' work. That early exposure planted the seeds for my lifelong love of helping others feel whole and well. 

My path into healing work started with holistic health. I saw how mindful living, nourishing food, and natural remedies could transform the body and spirit. Over time, my journey led me deeper — from learning the language of insurance codes and supplements to discovering my true gift: the healing power of touch. Becoming a bodyworker opened the door to a calling I could feel in my bones. It became clear that my hands were meant to hold space, soothe, and support. 

Today, I specialize in therapeutic bodywork, prenatal and postpartum massage, Spinning Babies® techniques, and full-spectrum doula care. I walk with clients through every stage of the journey — offering intuitive, heart-led support that honors the body and uplifts the spirit. I’m deeply committed to justice and access as an educator and maternal health advocate. In 2022, I founded the Kern County Black Maternal Festival to bring education, resources, and celebration to our community. Every woman deserves to feel seen, supported, and safe in their birthing experiences. 

Birth work came to me as a calling, not a career. It’s a sacred honor to witness women rise into their power — in pregnancy, birth, and the tender postpartum season. I’m constantly inspired by the resilience of women and the strength we find in the community. 

My mission is simple: to nurture, empower, and help each person I work with feel connected to their body, choices, and worth. Whether through hands-on care or heartfelt advocacy, I’m here to walk alongside you, grounded, gentle, and always holding space for your healing.
