About Us

Three Moons Doula Collective (TMDC) was founded on March 3, 2025, to answer a critical call for culturally-rooted, community-centered birth support in Kern County, California. As a collective of experienced doulas, educators, and advocates, we are deeply committed to training, mentoring, and uplifting the next generation of doulas to serve our diverse communities with skill, compassion, and cultural humility. 

At TMDC, we believe that birth work is ancestral work. We honor the wisdom of those who came before us while preparing doulas to navigate the modern realities of birth, postpartum, and reproductive justice. Our comprehensive bilingual training program (English and Spanish) centers historically marginalized communities, particularly Indigenous, Latino, farmworker, and Black families. 

Our mission is to expand access to equitable, respectful, and culturally competent doula care, knowing that such support dramatically improves birth outcomes, reduces maternal health disparities, and empowers families during one of the most transformational moments of their lives. 

We are proud to offer:

1. Inclusive Doula Training Programs with an emphasis on advocacy, autonomy, and cultural humility.

2. Mentorship and Peer Support to ensure new doulas feel guided, connected, and empowered.

3. Community Education and Outreach, informing families about their rights and the benefits of doula care.

4. Support for Certification and Medi-Cal Enrollment, helping doulas remove financial and systemic barriers to success.

5. Professional Development Workshops to sustain and nurture doulas throughout their careers.
