Activities in AIESEC in Yangon
(July 2019 - Feb 2022)
(July 2019 - Feb 2022)
AIESEC is a global platform for young people to develop their leadership potential through international internships and volunteer opportunities. Founded in 1948, AIESEC is a non-governmental, and not-for-profit organization entirely run by youth for youth.
I was in charge of managing the global exchange experiences of Myanmar youths to other countries to carry out the volunteer projects for 6 weeks.
During this experience, I came to realize how learning about cultural differences and experiencing them can permanently widen one’s global outlook and mindset. As I led a team of nine members in this position, I had practical experience in youth leadership while improving my business acumen and cross-cultural understanding.
As the pandemic becomes pronouned together with the political crisis, we focused on the current issues and problems that youths are facing. During this experience, we had virtual events with respective purposes. Belows are the virtual events we had in this one year from 2021 to 2022.
