Track 1: Creativity, Culture and Society
Edinburgh, Scotland’s vibrant capital, is well recognised as one of the leading creative cities in Europe. Its reputation goes beyond its world-renowned festivals as the wide number of people and organisations working in the Cultural and Creative Industries keep the city alive throughout the year. These include activities related to the visual and performing arts, design, architecture, heritage conservation, museums, music, film, crafts, among many others. This set the perfect scenario for our seminar, where we welcome researchers across the UK to share their experiences and together think about the role of Creative and Cultural organisations in contemporary societies and what are the key challenges to face in the future.
