The Chilean Society of The University of Edinburgh and ChileGlobal Seminars UK invited students and researchers to submit abstracts for the seminar: "Thinking Chile: Sharing ideas in Edinburgh 2018".

Thinking Chile: Sharing Ideas in Edinburgh 2018 has the aim to reinforce The University of Edinburgh as a centre of thinking and development, to promote new and innovative knowledge for the development of Chile through a strong networking based on a multidisciplinary perspective. The aim of the seminar is to provide a space for sharing and disseminating ideas grounded on high quality research carried out by Chilean students and researchers in the UK, as well as the creation of links in an environment of companionship and cooperation.

The seminar had 2 tracks: Creativity, Culture and Society and Health, Environment, and Technology for Social Development, however there was a space for poster presentations open to any topic that might not fit within these existing track themes. We offered a limited number of travel bursaries to the event.

Attendance of this event was free.

Key dates:

  • 23 January (10 January) 2018: New deadline for abstract submission for oral presentations and posters.
  • 28 January (15 January) 2018: Notification of acceptance.

We want to thank all the speakers and attendees who participated and were part of this event. Here is the Welcome Pack we gave to each one of the attendees, you can check the topics and abstracts of the presentations and posters.
