Teaching Positive Behaviour.
At Officer Secondary College students who do not demonstrate the expected behaviours and college values will be given R's in their classroom. The R process exists as a way to teach the students the expected behaviours. There R's also function as a opportunity for students so that they are aware that they are no longer demonstrating the expected behaviours, and can adjust their behaviour. Your teacher will remind the individual student about OSC values and classroom expectations. After this initial warning is opportunity for students to return to demonstrating the expected values of OSC.
Your teacher explicitly re-focuses the student from what they are doing to what they should be doing. This acts as a secondary warning and is once again an opportunity for students to return to demonstrating the expected values of OSC.
Your teacher will asks the student to move to an alternative location. This also acts as a final warning and is once again an opportunity for students to return to demonstrating the expected values of OSC.
In an instance when a student has continued to not demonstrate the expected values of OSC. Your teacher will direct the student to their sub-school office with their equipment. Students will meet the attending staff member and be asked to reflect upon their behaviour, and be issued with a consequence for their behaviour. Juniour students will remain out of class for the period, and the following period. Senior students will be sent home when practical.

Your teacher will hold a restorative session with the student after the student has completed the Student Reflection Sheet. This is an opportunity for the teacher to explicitly reteach the student the expected behaviours. This is also a chance for the student to have a voice and discuss the removal with the teacher.
