Course Description
Students will learn the basics of game development by building their own 2D platformer in the Godot Engine. Through hands-on projects, they’ll explore game design, simple coding, animation, and level creation while developing a complete, playable game. Students will learn to:
Navigate Godot and manage game projects
Create and animate characters and objects
Implement player controls and core game mechanics
Design levels with tilemaps
Use beginner-friendly code to bring their game to life
Equipment Used
Students will be provided with computers for the duration of the class. If a student would like to save and take their project home, please share a cloud storage link where we can upload their work for them.
