An out of control rocket lands in the ocean!
A rocket about the size of ten story tall building and weighing 40,000 pounds was launched by china on April 29. The rocket was sent up to put a piece of china's space station in space On the way down earths gravity slowly augmented the rockets path. It was hurtling around earth incredibly fast making it hard to know where it will land. The rocket mainly burned up in reentry into the atmosphere but small pieces of the rocket landed in the west Indian ocean.

An Irish Farmer comes across an ancient tomb of stone that has been untouched for dozens of years!
A farmer on ireland's Dingle peninsula found a stone passageway after turning over a rock in his field. Tese stone tombs called dolmans are found all across the peninsula but this one seems to lead to the ground an was in pristine condition. Scientist date the tomb to the Irish Bronze Age, between 2,000 BCE and 500 BCE.

Women's history month appreciation! Celebrating all the women throughout history!
Today I will be highlighting a women in history who accomplished amazing things and I found interesting.
Nellie Bly was a journalist in the 1890s who was given an assignment to investigate the Woman’s Lunatic Asylum. She faked insanity and when released she the exposed the awful treatment of patients inside the asylum. This was a revolution for investigative journalism. She also flew around the world in 72 days a record.

African American History Month Appreciation!
As we all should know February is African American History month. This ost this month will feature an array of African Americans who were leaders and persevered. An example of such is Dr. Lonnie Johnson who was an Air force veterans and worked on sending spacecraft to mars and jupiter. He also made the super soaker!

Ranging from monkeys to serpent's to ocean creatures here are some of he best discoveries. These included a familiar sake, a cute looking monkey, and even a really scary spider that resides in the south of Asia.

2. Plastic straws and one use bags have been banned from China!
This is a huge step forward for China since some cities have tons of pollution. They are one of 10 countries who have banned straws outright. China aims to try and reduce plastic pollution while also moving into easier to destroy alternatives and it starts with straws. They seek to replace plastic straws with paper infused compounds.

Victory for the Polar Bears, courts have rejected oil drilling in the Arctic!
Polar Bears can have released big sigh of relief. An Arctic oil projected approved by the Trump administration has been rejected by the courts. This stopped more oil Riggs being built in Alaska and shrinking the area polar bears have to live. Jeremy Lieb said ,“I’m pleased that the court today rejected the administration’s inaccurate and misleading analysis of this project’s impact to the climate."

2. Multiple acts of kindness in cars that happened at a Dairy Queen in Minnesota.
What happened as one act of kindness spread over 900 customers. The first person payed for the person behind them and is the next person payed for the person behind and so on and so forth. This chain of kindness spanned over 900 cars until the chain broke after three whole days.

Space X launches a historic flight for NASA shuttling astronauts into the international space station.
On Sunday November 15 at around 7:30 pm Space X Falcon 9 rocket carried 4 astronauts into space. This mission reopened regular crewed missions into space after almost 9 years. Astronaut Victor Glover is the first Black astronaut to go on an extended stay aboard the ISS, while engineer Shannon Walker is the first woman to orbit in a commercial spacecraft.

2. There is a new panda cub in the National Zoo and it needs votes on what to name it!
This cute cub was born on August 21, 2020 in the US capital. The little one is very easygoing and has no problems during nursing, feeding, napping, and cuddling with his mother. This week you even have a chance to name it so don't miss out on this rare event!

Rare Turtles Known For Their Permanent Smiles Saved From Extinction in Myanmar!
This smiling breed of turtles native to Myanmar’s Irrawaddy river region was in serious trouble. The country of Myanmar is located in Asia right above Thailand. Once thought to be extinct since the 1990's know their population has miraculously grown to over 1,000 through conservation and captivity.

2. In egypt 27 sealed coffins have been found in an ancient cemetery!
These coffins have been discovered deep in burial shafts at Saqqara. The coffins have been buried for over 26,000 years and have not been opened yet. Each and everyone of the wooden coffins still have there original hieroglyphics.

3. Rare blue moon will be visible in all timezones on october 31!
A blue moon is the term when 2 full moons occur in a single month. A blue moon occurs every 2 and a half years this time it occurs in October 31. The last time this happened was in 2001 wich is 19 years ago. Of course the moon will not look blue but will surely make a good view.
