DIY with Daphne

Hi saints! Im Daphne. I'm class representative for Fifth grade. My scoop page will be DIY. Every month I will post a new DIY idea. I hope you enjoy!

DIY Turkey decoration

Materials you will need:

Orange or black paper
glue
googly eyes
Fauq feathers (preferably red, yellow, amd orange)
Red felt
a yellow pipe cleaner
A plastic cup

Directions:

step1: get your plastic cup and paper and glue the paper around and on top of the plastic cup

step2: decorate the face of the turkey using your pipe cleaner,felt,and googly eyes, I did this by cutting wattle (the red dangling thing) out of your red felt, and make your beak out of your pipe cleaner and cut off the excess

step3: get your feathers and arrange them in the order that you want then glue them to the cup

step4: wait for everything to dry

step5: display and enjoy!

DIY Mini Jacko'lantern

Materials: The things you will need are an orange, a spoon, and pumpkin carving tools if you dont have pumpkin carving tools you can use a knife just be sure to ask an adult for help or for adult supervision.

!disclaimer! This will be messy, sticky, and it will rot alot faster than pumpkins.

Directions:

First you will need to cut out a hole in the top of your orange.

Next if your orange doesn't have a flat bottom to stand on you can cut a little bit of the bottom off.

Then you get your spoon and carve out the insides of the orange as best as you can, you can also use your hands because why not?

After that rinse out the inside of the orange to get out as much juice as possible.

Last carve out your face of choice and pop out the pieces.

Finally put a light in it, put the top back on and watch it glow.
