Djibb Shedu Cats

Not cats, nor wolves if to be true. From modern animals hyenas will be their closest relatives. And even this statement won`t be close enough for ultimate truth.

Djibbs are byproduct or better to say “unsuccessful” branch of Gevaudan project, that resulted in creation of several komainu cats. Djibbs species were secretivly sold to japanise dealer, Tamoyasu Katsu, young, but already puissant member of yakuza. Actually, it is he, who forced scientists to admit officially that creatures, that will be known soon as djibbs are nothing, but failure.

This “failure” species were perfectly adapted to hot and cold weather,  long, grueling marches, severe weather conditions. And all that mixed with modest character and impressive enduring abilities. Fast growing, easy to take care of, easy to train. Perfect traits, yet Tamoyasu was interested only in their color and relations to actual shedus.

Djibb cats are built on genetic material of prehistoric ancestor of feloidea family and komainu/shedu cats with mix of other genes that kept in secret.

Lifestyle

They can live on their own, but prefer packs or small family groups. Females are dominant over males. (Rare exceptions with ispolin Djibbs).

Their social life is very complicated and can not be classified easily. Being very smart animals, each pack or group has it`s own “language” or local idioms. It can be so different that sometimes animals from one pack can`t understand their neighbours from another. More than that, some packs may wage war against particular rival packs and tolerate and welcome others.

Breeders and owners of large kennels often call their groups not packs, but tribes.

Special traits

Djibbs have very keen nightvision and very strong  olfaction. In fact smell is very important in their social life and in way of living in total.

White and really light colored Djibbs are rare and for some reason often get banished from packs. White or light colored cubs are first in waiting line to be abandoned by mother if that is about to happen.

SHARK MOUTH HEALTH CONDITION

All djibbs - ordinary and jotun ones very often have troubles with their dental formula. They can have extra teeth out of place. Some teeths have their roots in bone bed, but some grow without true roots. Such teeths  easily can be left in victim`s body after strong bite.

Minor changes in dental formula do not bother djibbs, but those who have “shark mouths” definitely need some professional help. Once extra teeth are removed, everything goes fine and nice.

ISPOLIN DJIBB : Aka JOTUN DJIBB

Ispolin or Jotun djibbs are rare animals that demonstrate growth genes out of control. They can grow as big as 2m in height or even more.

They have more fur on their necks, elongated very wide snouts somehow reminding those of crocodiles mixed with pitbulls.

In spite of jaws length their bite is still very strong though they often have health problems with joints and hips.

They may have not that good endurance traits, but they are much stronger then ordinary djibbs. Sometimes they born with more rounded ears and much longer tails.
