Weddings are not serious affairs- they are fun and rowdy. Often families aren’t invited, so there are groups of friends from both sides, and dancers and musicians are almost always hired, as well as actors. Weddings take place in different places, and often areas in the pa’daju are rented out. It is seen as they’re last chance to be young, so there is much dancing, drinking, games and stripping. The festivities can last all night. Fancy clothes aren’t worn, but chefs are hired for incredibly meals.
People with huge sums of money can hire out the town center, and close it off. They’re parties aren’t much different, just much bigger.
Right when the sun goes down is when they get married. The couple hold hands, and the entire party circles around them. Food and drink are placed around them, as well as candles. That is when they kiss, and the entire crowd cheers. The party carries on after that.
