Above is an example of drum notation in rita. It was designed to be easy enough to read, but convey enough meaning. Every line is an eight note- they go fast. The t-shaped lines are on- you play on them. The other ones are off. The circles collect "groupings", kind of like the top number in western time signature, except this one changes a lot. The first note is emphasized. To add sixteenth notes in between, you would add a diagonal line in between two notes.
