Subsidiary Departments and Bodies

The Constitution of the Republic of Tinland allows the National Assembly to establish and dissolve "...such departments and other civil offices and to appoint persons to serve on the same...". These bodies assist the government in exercising its powers and enforcing the law in a certain matter. For example, the Department of Foreign Affairs assists with all matters relating to foreign affairs. 

The Department of Foreign Affairs

The Department of Foreign Affairs is an executive department of the Republic of Tinland responsible for (1) promoting and implementing the foreign policy of the Republic of Tinland and (2) representing the confederation in macronational and micronational spaces. 

The Department is headed by a Secretary (currently vacant), who serves for a renewable two-year term. Under the Secretary, is the Registrar (currently vacant), who also serves for a renewable two-year term. 

The Department of the Treasury

The Department of the Treasury is an executive department of the Republic of Tinland responsible for (1) managing the finances of the Republic of Tinland, (2) collecting national taxes and duties, (3) producing the national currency, and (4) overseeing the fiscal policy of the confederation. 

The Department is headed by a Secretary (vacant), who serves for a renewable two-year term. There is also a Treasurer and Registrar of the Department of the Treasury, both of which serve for two-year terms. 

The Department of the Treasury, under the Treasurer, oversees the national mint of the Republic of Tinland, which is responsible for producing the national currency. It is headed by a director. 

The Department of the Postal Service

The Department of the Postal Service is an executive department of the Republic of Tinland responsible for providing reliable, affordable, and universal postal services throughout the Confederation. 

The Department is headed by a Postmaster General (vacant), who serves for a renewable two-term term.
