BiographyAhmed Faizan Naveed (b. 1989) is a Lahore based Visual Artist. He graduated bachelor's in fine arts with a distinction from Beaconhouse National University (School of Visual Arts) in 2012. Faizan began his career working as a Research Assistant at Rashid Rana Studio. Over the years, he has associated himself with various educational institutions and currently maintains a harmonious career between academia and fine arts. Faizan has also worked in a not-for-profit organization, Oasis School for Autism, as a life skills coordinator and co-curated their first-ever Aut.art exhibition. He has exhibited work in Pakistan and internationally for group and solo exhibitions, including biennales and festivals. His work has been featured in various publications, magazine articles, and talk shows.Faizan's art practice is filled with ideas of reality in displacement and coexistence where they are parallel to each other in a particular set of time and space. His investigation includes how technology culture, light, sound, colour, and other agencies have shaped our vision and how it continues to evolve through time. He has primarily worked in the medium of photography and takes photography as a subject too. Faizan's work also deals with installation to not just create art but a whole experience. His solo exhibitions are curated to become experiences, fully articulated spaces and partially architectural projects.
