Sangil

 Located at: Balut and Sarangani, as well as parts of the coastal region of South Cotabato and Davao del Sur Provinces.

Culture: A mix of maritime and land-based traditions, with an emphasis on fishing, sailing, and crafts. They also share cultural practices with other Moro groups.

Economy: Fishing, agriculture, and handicrafts.

Population: 10,000

Subsistence: The Sangil's subsistence includes marine, lowland agriculture, intensive agriculture, horticulture, upland rice, sweet potato, corn, bananas, and cash cropping of coconut. 

Occupation: Most Sangil live along the seashore and are engaged in fishing. Others are engaged in farming on hillsides near the sea. 

Acculturation: Since arriving in Mindanao, the Sangil have gone through an acculturation process.
