Subsistence: The Sangil's subsistence includes marine, lowland agriculture, intensive agriculture, horticulture, upland rice, sweet potato, corn, bananas, and cash cropping of coconut.
Occupation: Most Sangil live along the seashore and are engaged in fishing. Others are engaged in farming on hillsides near the sea.
Acculturation: Since arriving in Mindanao, the Sangil have gone through an acculturation process.
