The Philippines is known for its diverse ethnic groups contributing to its vibrant heritage and rich cultural diversity. The Bangsmoro tribes comprise twelve Muslim tribes, and these Muslim tribes, known collectively as Moro people, are considered one of the largest ethnic groups present in the Philippines (Mua, 2024). These tribes, most of which are found in Mindanao, Sulu, and Palawan, include the Maguindanao, Maranao, Tausug Yakan, Sama, and others. However, the Moro people, in spite of their role in Philippine history and culture, have yet to be recognized in the broader Filipino society.
