TMMA Scholarships  

As part of serving our community, we offer full and partial scholarships to children and youths from disadvantaged/marginalized backgrounds. The first scholarships were awarded in September 2018 and continue till date.The scholarship aims to empower the scholars creatively and economically with musical knowledge and skills.

 The scholarship covers:

• Registration into TMMA

• 100 to 75% of annual fees

• Music textbook

• Music manuscript

• Cost of examination

• Cost of certificate & lots more.

Past scholarship recipients have become proficient instrumentalists and singers, others have gained employment as music teachers, church organists, music producers, etc.

Fighting COVID with Music  

As part of serving our community, TMMA organized a public music concert to spread messages of comfort and hope to persons affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Calabar, Nigeria. The concert featured the performing units in TMMA and brought together guest choirs, schools, and soloists. The event also featured public sensitization on safe practices for stemming the spread of the virus; including wearing face masks, handwashing and sanitizing, and avoiding the spread of misinformation and disinformation. 

Collaboration with Schools 

We collaborate with schools within our region in areas of skills training, music performance, and book sales. We help to raise and train school choirs and organize music concerts and summer camps. We have successfully collaborated with Lourdes Academy and St Anne's Private Schools in Calabar. We look forward to working with more schools and higher educational institutions.

Seminar For Choir Directors 

We host periodic seminars for choir directors within the region to sensitize them on the importance of music education for themselves and their choirs. Our seminars are often engaging and well attended by choir directors from protestant and pentecostal churches.
